Our Approach
Learning at Daylesford College is inclusive, engaging, and ever-improving. It provides opportunities for growth and success for all learners across a range of learning areas. With a focus on positive learning behaviours, students are encouraged to reflect on how they function as learners and how it contributes to both their academic success and their personal growth well beyond their time at school.
Students are encouraged to pursue their interests but also to take risks by trying learning experiences that are new or different. Our teachers are committed to high expectations for every student regardless of their background. Collaborative teacher teams allow for rich and challenging evidence-based discussions about the needs of every student and how to support them in their learning with best classroom practice and assessment.
Curriculum
In the Junior School (Year 7 to 9), we prioritise depth of learning and deliver the Victorian Curriculum where it dovetails with our school community’s context. In the Senior School (Year 10-12), we offer the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), including the new VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM, formerly VCAL), and a variety of Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects.
