School camp is the place where social skills grow and develop. Most activities at camp involve team work, communication and listening. This is the foundations to strengthen established friendships and also to develop new ones. Our camp program is:
-
Year 7: Creswick Log Cabin
-
Held in Term 1, our Year 7 camp at Creswick Log Cabin brings our newest students together through outdoor adventure, fun challenges and shared experience. Our aim is to help them connect, feel included, and start building a strong community within the cohort. The camp runs for three days, two nights.
-
Year 8: Melbourne City Experience
-
Over three days and two nights, Year 8s participate in a wide range of fun activities as they explore, play and learn in the big city lights of Melbourne. Our aim is to give students insight into city life whilst continuing to foster connection with one another and the contrast to their communities at home in regional Victoria.
-
Year 9: Surf Coast Adventure
-
Our Year 9s head off to the Surf Coast each year to play and explore the great outdoors. Students are given the opportunity to connect with nature as they camp, hike and have fun for three nights and four days in one of Victoria’s best outdoor regions. Students will participate in practice hikes and camps prior to the real thing.
-
Year 10/11: European Cultural Trip
-
This camp is currently under planning.
-
Year 11: VCE Retreat
-
At the end of Year 11 students will be off for three days to have a lot of fun and laughter before we gear up in preparation for starting Year 12. Our Year 12 cohort is always a special one as they embark on their final year together and this camp serves as an important milestone where we witness the strengthening of a bond between a cohort that is unlike any other in schools.
